If you like space or astronomy then you will love ISS Live Now. While I watched it this morning, it appeared to go through the camera cycle just twice each orbit, just switching to nadir mode over the terminator (the boundary between day and night).See the Earth as the astronauts see it with a 24/7 video livestream from the International Space Station. At other times, it's operated in a different mode, with the cameras switching less frequently, instead dwelling on the forward and aft views for many minutes. The cycle is intended to give viewers a chance to identify features on the ground in the forward view, and watch them go by at nadir, then see them recede aft.
There's usually a gray screen for several seconds in between camera views. In one mode, it switches between cameras roughly every two minutes: first, the forward view then the nadir view then the two aft views. The cameras automatically switch from one to the next. Its interface is made to be as simple as can be once powered on and warmed up, HDEV transmits video straight to Earth, live, without recording it onboard.
